Restorative Medicine
Restorative Medicine at Houston Methodist extends the traditional goal of medicine from fixing the damage or deterioration of the body to include a full health plan that preserves good health, addresses the collateral damage and side effects of disease and treatments, and restores the body back to a state of optimal health. Research in this area aims to help patients maintain their optimal physical and cognitive health profiles by developing new technologies and health plans to preserve, regenerate and rejuvenate the tissues and movement that are impaired due to injury, disease or the normal aging process.
