In this two-year role, Dr. Thekdi will be one of three officers who represent Houston Methodist’s staff. The role of the officers of the medical staff is to listen to issues facing the staff, to make a counter recommendations and to changes as needed, as well as making Houston Methodist better, safer and a higher-quality hospital. “It’s a big honor,” said Dr. Thekdi. “Dr. Thekdi is an extraordinary young man,” said Charles Richard Stasney, MD, who hired Dr. Thekdi. “He’s a fine surgeon and one of the nicest human beings at Houston Methodist.”
