"I love the variety that ENT offers, as well as the opportunity to treat patients across all age groups – from young children to older adults," said Dr. Patel, whose practice is based near Champions Forest, Cypress and Spring. She also sees patients from as far away as Tomball and Magnolia. "No two days are alike. The conditions I encounter are always diverse, which keeps my work both engaging and rewarding."
Dr. Patel finds great fulfillment in the complexities of sinus and neck surgery, as well as in treating a wide range of common conditions in her clinic. "I appreciate the variety in my work, seeing patients in the clinic, performing surgeries and managing inpatient care. The treatments we have to offer are always changing, so each day brings new challenges and learning opportunities."
After seven years in private practice, Dr. Patel sought a shift in her career direction and reconnected with Mas Takashima, MD, FACS, Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital. Dr. Takashima had been her residency program director, and the two maintained a professional relationship.

"I felt that transitioning to a hospital setting, particularly one that also serves a community, would be the ideal next step for me," Dr. Patel explained. "Being outside the medical center, but still in a dynamic, community-based environment allows me to blend the best aspects of academic medicine and private practice."
Dr. Patel is originally from Sugar Land, where her parents and in-laws still reside. Her husband, a radiologist and nuclear medicine physician, is also from Sugar Land, and together they have two young sons, ages 9 and 5.
In her personal time, Dr. Patel has returned to one of her childhood passions – playing the violin. Having started lessons at age 5, she continued through college but took a long break during her medical training. "I’m enjoying the peace and relaxation that comes with playing again," she said. "It’s been a wonderful way to unwind and reconnect with something familiar and meaningful."
Dr. Patel is excited to be a part of the Houston Methodist Willowbrook community and looks forward to serving patients with the highest standard of care.
